3 The Roots of Power
Deep within Verdant Hollow - where sunlight filtered through moss-veiled canopies and roots whispered secrets beneath the soil-the Gaia Whisperes began their sacred work.
Stormy Princess sat cross-legged on a stone platform shaped like a lotus bloom. Around her, floating orbs of wind, water, and lightning orbited slowly. Master Lira, the elder who first addressed her in Ashwind Hollow, stood nearby.
"Storm is your birthright." Lira said. "But storm without wisdom is just destruction. We must teach you to strike without burning."
Each lesson came from the elements themselves.
She meditated with the Whisperers beneath ancient trees, feeling the breath of the forest in her lungs. She wept with a dying stream until its song returned. And in one lesson, she summoned a cyclone - but only long enough to scatter the seeds of thousand wildflowers.
She learn the three rules of renewal:
Stormy Princess wasn't always patient Her hands still sparked when she was angry. But slowly, balance began to pulse through her. Her cloak grew heavier with embroidered glyphs of leafs and rain - earned symbols of restraint.
And then came the smoke.
A forest spirit collapsed at the edge of the Hollow, eyes clouded with poison. It whispered of black sludge in the rivers, of machines that churned night and day to drain the earth's lifeblood. The Ember King forces where moving - cutting down sacred groves and turning fresh water into acid.
Stormy Princess stood, her eyes darkened like gathering thunderheads. She turned to Lira. "I have learned. Now I must act."
Lira gave her a sprig of ashwood, bound in silver thread. "Then go - not as vengeance, but as remedy."
Stormy Princess summoned the wind. Leaves spiraled around her. As she soared above the canopy, the clouds followed. Somewhere beyond the horizon, the Ember King's iron machine were waking rivers with fire.
But this time the storm came with purpose.
